In a strip mall off a bustling section of Hilliard Rome Road, a new European-style bakery called Creme de la Creme Bakery & Cafe just celebrated its grand opening!

Creme de la Creme’s space is filled with natural light. It’s decorated in mainly cream colors and light natural wood – all the better to emphasize the colorful pastries filling the shelves.

Creme de la Creme features a wide array of mainly sweet pastries.

We saw turnovers.

Danishes and croissants.

Cakes and eclairs.

Beautiful mini tarts.

Creme de la Creme is also a full-service coffee shop, with brewed coffee and espresso on hand to complement your pastries. We tried a flat white and a cortado. Generally it was very good, although they use a darker roast that lends a little more bitterness to the drinks.

We sampled a few different pastries, including a blueberry danish.

A raspberry and cheese danish.

A chocolate croissant.

And a raspberry tart. All quite good!

Overall, we enjoyed our visit there! Service was friendly and quick. Coffee and pastries were lovely. The place was pretty quiet when we arrived around 9 a.m., but it filled it up before we left. They also have a small patio out front!
Creme de la Creme is currently open Monday-Saturday, 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
