Watershed Kitchen & Bar Launches New Happy Hour

July 2, 2023

We’ve had nothing but stellar experiences at Watershed Bar & Kitchen, the dining arm of Watershed Distillery, and just recently the gave us one more reason to visit: an excellent new happy hour running every weekday!

Watershed’s new happy hour runs 5-6 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 4-6 p.m. Friday. It’s available at the bar and the standing bar, so room is limited.

Their happy hour offers 1/2 off all cocktails, snacks, and share-ables (level 1 on their menu). It’s a great deal on pretty stellar food and drink.

Watershed’s cocktail program is always one of the best in the city, both in terms of design and execution. Paging through their menus is like viewing a work of art – they’re always so fun. Get a look at their latest menu, A World Tour.

We tried the Ikigai and the Eightfold Path. The Eightfold Path (on the right) uses Watershed bourbon, lemon and lime, house grenadine, simply syrup, whipped egg white, and a fresh curry leaf.

The Ikigai combines brown butter-washed Watershed bourbon, Japanese whiskey, Amontillado sherry, salted maple syrup, plum wine, and coffee-infused bitters.

We highly recommend taking a date so you can try more of the dishes. The hush puppies are delightful, made with crunchy corn, chilis and onions, and served with an herbed crema.

Even the house-made bread and spread is wonderfully done: baked with a bourbon mash grain blend and served with honey butter and an olive conserva.

The colorful beet salad combines a couple types of beets, ricotta, granola, and seasonal veggies with a sherry vinaigrette.

The crispy fried brussel sprouts are dowsed in a black pepper honey with lemon and mint.

And there’s more to try, from confit wings to crispy fingerling potatoes (a local favorite) and a complex squash dish.

We know we’ll be back for this happy hour deal! Try it out 5-6 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 4-6 p.m. Friday at the bar and the standing bar.
